The Cortlandt Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps responds to emergency (911) calls within the Cortlandt Ambulance District 1 and provides mutual aid to neighboring ambulance districts as dispatched through Westchester County’s Emergency Communications Center (60 Control).

In 2013, Cortlandt EMS responded to 1,200+ emergency calls; in addition, the Corps provided stand by medical services at sporting and community events.

All Cortlandt EMS vehicles, three ambulances, one rehabilitation van and three fly cars, are New York State certified and fully equipped to provide Basic Life Support emergency care. In 2012, the Corps went ‘green’ with its purchase of three replacement ambulances featuring ECOSmart technologies resulting in the reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
